Mr. Willie John "Wayne" Killian, Sr., age 66, died, Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at the W.G. Hefner Medical Center, Salisbury. Mr. Killian was born in Rowan County on April 18, 1942 to the late Willie and Martha Killian. He attended J.C. Price High School. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a former mason. He was a retired electrician with the New York City Transit in New York, New York.

Those who will cherish his memory are his wife, Mrs. Joan Carmichael Killian of the home; sons, William J. Killian, Jr., (Karen), Bronx, New York; and Brian Carmichael (Charlene), Atlanta, Ga.; daughters, Selena Killian, Milwaukee, Wis.; and Lavonda Clarice Killian, Salisbury; brothers, Frankie Alexander (Gwen), Statesville; Thomas Alexander (Dorothy), Salisbury; Nathaniel Alexander (Anita), Salisbury; and Joseph Alexander (Juliet), Atlanta, Ga; and sisters, Rena Boose, Brooklyn, New York; and Margaret Norton, Salisbury; seven grandchildren and one great-grand child; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28, 2008 at 12:30 p.m.,at Love Christian Center, East Spencer with Bishop Kevin Bost as Eulogist and Bishop Dr.Ronald Hash, pastor-officiating. Burial will follow in the U.S. National Cemetery.

Visitation: 12:00 p.m. prior to the service. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home, 603 Lincolnton Rd.
