Mr. Clarence William Gray, Sr., of Foster Road, Woodleaf, passed, Saturday, July 18, 2015 at the VA Medical Center, Salisbury. Mr. Gray was born in Rowan County on, June 10, 1930 to the late, Bishop W.O.K. Gray and Mrs. Minnie Gray Gray. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Jeanetta Ford, two brothers, James Arthur Gray and Bishop Junior Gray and a sister, Jean Esther Gray.

He was educated in the public schools of Rowan County. He was last employed as a truck driver with Jack Wooten Trucking of Statesville. He was a member of New Faith Full Gospel Fellowship Center, Lexington, NC, where he sang in the Men's Choir.

Those who will forever cherish his memory are his wife, Mrs. Mary Lois Reid Gray of the home, sons; Clarence W. Gray, Jr., (Vicki), Salisbury; and Melvin Eugene Gray (Venus), Kannapolis; daughters; Dorothy Ann Gray, Durham, Leanetta Chambers (Thomas), Salisbury and Cynthia Montrella Waddle (Joseph), League City, Texas; brothers; Bishop E.L. Gray (Evelyn), Statesville, Bishop Willie Joe Gray (Juanita), Woodleaf, and Raymond Gray (Dorothy), Woodleaf; sisters; Addie Burnett, Kernersville, Mary Nora Geter, Woodleaf, Thelma Lazenby, Salisbury, Naomi Watkins (Leon), Woodleaf, Mary Jo Imes (Leon), Woodleaf, and Alice Cleveland (Henry), Woodfleaf; 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.

Viewing: Friday, July 24, 2015-6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

Memorial Service: Saturday, July 25, 2015-11:00 a.m., at New Faith Full Gospel Fellowship Center, Lexington, NC, Bishop Derek Kelly, pastor/eulogist.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorials be sent to New Faith Full Gospel Fellowship Center, 402 Oak St., Lexington, NC 27292

Burial will be held on Monday, July 27, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the U.S. National Cemetery on Statesville Blvd.
