Phyllis Smith Bailey SALISBURY – Mrs. Phyllis D. Smith Bailey, age, 75, daughter of the late Brodie Smith and Rober - ta Smith Brown. She was a graduate of J. C. Price High School. She retired from Cone Mills. She was a member of Moore’s Chapel AME Zion Church, Salisbury. She is also preceded in death by a son, Steve Bailey and her husband, Harvey Bailey. She is survived by sons, Phillip Smith and Donnie Bailey of the home; sisters, Louse Mack, Evelyn Allison, and Mary Jane Smith, all of Salisbury; one grandchild, Demar Bailey. Arrangements: Visitation will be held at 12 p.m. Thursday, March 17, with funeral services starting at 12:30 p.m., at Moore’s Chapel AME Zion Church with the Pastor, Rev. Dr. Carolyn Bratton, officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. .
