Ms. Shawonda Eileen Gardner, age 44 of Manassas Park, Va., passed, Friday, July 17, 2015 at Novant Prince William Medical Center. She was born, March 3, 1971 in Brooklyn, NY, to Clifford Smith and the late, Ellen Gardner. She was a graduate of Sarah J. Hale High School, Brooklyn, NY and attended Medgar Evers College, Brooklyn, NY. She previously worked as a Home Health Aide and was later employed with Fed Ex. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Manassas.

Those who will cherish her memory are her children; Devante Gardner, and Deniqua Gardner, both of Brooklyn, NY; father, Clifford Smith, Bronx, NY; grandson, Jermal Gardner, Brooklyn, NY; brother, Andre Gardner, Queens, NY, sisters, Princess Gardner, Brooklyn, NY, and Iwana Smith-Moore, Dover, Del., special friends, Shelia Jefferson, and Lisa Lesainea, both of Brooklyn, NY; and an abundance of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation: 12:00 p.m. and funeral, 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Vineyard Worship Center, Rev. Alice Perry, officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, 1765 White Road, Salisbury.
