Willie Etta Iverson Obituary

Mrs. Willie Etta Iverson, 94 earned her wings to heaven on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Genesis Nursing Home.  She was born on March 3, 1923 to the late Ralph and Inez Bullard in Royston, Ga., she lived in Detroit, Michigan for 70 years.  She returned to Salisbury, NC in 2011.


She attended J. C. Price High School in Salisbury, NC.  She was employed for 40 years with the McGuire family as a domestic worker.


In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Elbert Iverson, her son, William L. Click, her step-father, William P. Click and her granddaughter, Sharon Click.


She leaves to cherish her memories, grandchildren, Jackie Propst (Dirwin), Kenneth Click, Barbara Garrison, and former daughter-in-law Rosa Click and a host of other relatives and friends.


Service will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Ardis Chapel A.M.E Zion Church.  Visitation: 11:30 a.m. and Funeral 12:00 p.m.  Rev. Nathan Bratton, pastor, officiating.  Rev. Dr. Calvin Miller, Presiding Elder of the Winston-Salem District, will be the eulogist.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ardis Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church Building Fund, 1940 Old Mocksville Road, Salisbury, NC  28144.
